Our Story
My love affair with cars began the first time I could grip a Matchbox car in my tiny hand, or so my parents tell me. My dad played a huge role in introducing cars into my life at such a young age, having a similar love affair himself from a young age. My dad, my brother, and I spent many weekends at car shows and dealerships looking at the latest models, meeting with salespeople, and collecting brochures. I was enamored by how they pitched different things about each model. My brother and I would read the brochures line by line, over and over. We kept them in boxes and put our favorites in the plastic convention bags, so they were readily accessible. But, I didn’t just look at brochures of cars; that wasn’t enough. I cleaned them, I worked on them, I was as hopelessly smitten by them as I am now. I used to detail my dad’s cars when he’d go out of town, so I could “drive” them in and out of the garage. I built my first car, a 1960 Volkswagen Type 1 “Beetle” Ragtop, from a multicolored, rusty rolling chassis to a beautiful “tarp blue” cal-look beauty with a Porsche 1850cc engine. AutoOscopy is a manifestation of this love affair.
Employee Experience
I experienced full-time employment for the first time when I worked at Southwest Airlines right after completing my undergrad. Southwest lived employee experience before employee experience was cool. Leadership took great care of their internal customers, knowing that when they did, the internal customers would treat the external customers the same way. Herb Kelleher said it best in a speech he gave where he famously said, “The business of business is people.” You can watch a clip from the speech here: (Have this link open in a new window, please.)
Our team worked hard for Herb and his right-hand person, Colleen Barrett, because they knew Herb and Colleen worked hard for them to provide the best experience possible.
As I write this this section of the website, I am learning of Colleen’s passing. She and Herb have now both passed on and I don’t think they really understood the impact they had on so many people in so many aspects of their lives. They changed me forever. They changed my view of how employees should experience their job both on the clock and off, and I have worked hard in my career as a marketing executive to carry on their vision.
I built AutoOscopy using the same fire and passion I felt in the time I worked for Southwest Airlines. I believe employee experience is much more than health insurance and 401ks. When companies offer services that make not only an employee’s 8 to 5, but their 5 to 8 and their weekends as enjoyable as possible. From a schedule that respected their personal lives, to services that made their lives outside of work easier. It is from these ideals that AutoOscopy was born; A car that sits in a parking lot for eight hours or more a day, is a car that can have all aspects of it maintained while its owner works! Providing access to these services improves employee experience without it costing the company a dime!

If you have an internal combustion engine, you car needs oil. Oil can become dirty or pass its usable life relatively quickly when exposed to the amount of heat and pressure the engine generates. For this reason, we change our clients' oil every 5,000 miles.

Employees are notified via text when work on their car starts, during major process steps, and upon completion. They receive a text link to our quick payment system, and we return their keys to the designated spot for easy pickup.

The photo does not do it justice! And I wish I had a 'before' photo. My husband and I drive older cars but it is well worth the investment to get them looking their best. I actually feel more excited to go run errands! Trent did an incredible job. Very trustworthy, personable, and doesn't over complicate the process. AutoOscopy did a great job on my car. They were able to remove markings from a logo on the car from a previous owner. The 4 stage polish made the whole car look great and the wheels now look amazingly clean! I highly recommend them.

I could not be happier with Trent’s services! When I tell you he goes above and beyond…it’s like beyond BEYOND. As a person who works in the field of customer experience, I’ve got high standards and I’d give this business 10 stars if I could… First, how cool is it that you can get your oil changed while you work, without having to go anywhere? No more wasting a Saturday in a smelly and crowded waiting room, your car gets the royal treatment while you work. On top of that, Trent includes a free reading with his diagnostic tool to identify any red flags in your vehicles that need attention. He identified some issues with my vehicle that I’ve had checked out by 2 other brick and mortar shops that were overlooked. The peace of mind it gives me to know that my car is in good hands is so valuable to me! Trent’s communication is impeccable, he’s incredibly accommodating, and it’s clear he is invested in providing the BEST possible experience in working with him, and genuinely cares for the safety of his customers and keeping their rides running smoothly for years to come. Wow! This is not a car detail or a car wash. It’s a white-glove service experience that’s seamless, enjoyable, and so worth it. The end result is a car that seems new (and in my case, a very happy wife). Trent’s communication and digital process taught me a lot about me car.
